Is the tank dead? Many will remember that I’ve suggested on this forum in the past that those who suggest this don’t fully understand the nature of warfare. Its like suggesting that the propellant-projectile is dead just because the muzzle-loading smoothbore is no longer a helpful tool on the battlefield.
Mark Urban has produced a new canter through 10 stand out tanks of the twentieth century. He won’t criticise me I hope for suggesting that its not a difficult read, but its not without analysis, especially with regard to the future role the tank is likely to play in future warfare, especially in the context of the drone-soaked skies of Ukraine. This is an easy and rewarding read and is being published on 5 June 2025.
