The ability to meet, interact with and even get to know our favourite authors and historians is priceless. Wehavewaysfest is very special (as is the Chalke History Festival). Without these opportunities, said authors remain names on a book cover or a face on a tv doc and the majority of us would never get to meet them. Long may it continue, as long as it doesn’t get too big and lose that ‘family feel’ so beloved of the veterans of four ‘campaigns’.

No, we don't - the size of the festival and accessibility of the site for most of the UK is just perfect. Don't change a thing!

Hi Rob

I'm a bit late on this one (Dissertation proposal research took over). I agree with Nick Grubb, the best thing about the Chalke and We have ways Festivals is the accessibility of historians who write the books we love to the readers and listeners. The discussions that take place will inevitably become shorter as the Festivals grow but I hope that doesn't mean that historians don't become as remote from their public as almost all rock stars. Long may PCA, James, Katya and your good self remain accessible to us aall
