Some years ago, soon after I had published The Jail Busters, my exploration of the story at the heart of the February 1944 raid on Amiens prison, my mother noted casually to me that ‘Teddy’ would have enjoyed the book. She has always been an avid reader, and a keen supporter of my work.

Thank you for pushing me to dig into this Rob. It was such a privilege to go through all his photos and log books and document a bit more for the family. I just wish I had know earlier and had been able to talk with him about his experience's.
Great article. I am always surprised what one can still discover around family service. A friend from work recently discovered his grandfather flew with Costal Command and was on an aircraft that sunk I believe an Italian submarine.
A Mosquito DFC in the family. Who knew?
Amazing and so
Important to (re)discover these family tales and recognise their service.
Superb article
Fascinating Rob. A great family story!
Super.

You must be very proud of his accomplishments.
A remarkable wartime service. What on earth from the SWW can be so sensitive it’s still secret? I dread to think.
