I've long considered the Vietnam War 'my war' because it so deeply affected my generation, but I've also known that the Korean War began while I was still wholly dependent upon my parents for information - and literally everything else, so it's a bit of looking back over my shoulder. A notion reinforced by the discovery that at least one cousin (a bit removed) is apparently still somewhere in the Korean landscape.
