In 1944 two Army officers - Major Patrick Boyle, The Cameronians and Major Jon-Musgrave-Wood Burma Rifles - published a hilarious account of Operation Thursday, Wingate’s second expedition behind Japanese lines in Burma.
It is so good, I’ve decided to reveal it, chapter to chapter, to you, my followers. You deserve nothing less. We’ll do it in regular instalments, chapter by delicious chapter.
